Noted Vocabulary

Of course we call them notes.
Plucked, bowed, sung,
Whistled, hummed, each
Sound a tiny message,
Sometimes strung together
Into paragraphs of melody
That speak volumes in
The language of the heart.

The white stuff is finally starting to melt here, and the snowdrops and daffys are poking their way through the soil. The birds have returned as well, filling the morning with song. That is a message I happily understand ~ March may be a fickle mistress, but Spring is on the way!

  5. @ Lynn: The old sheet music photo comes from a page of decorative paper I found in a craft store. I was immediately smitten when I saw it :~) Thank you for reading my mermaid tale, and for letting me know what you thought of it!

@ Lisa: back at ya! *cuddles a bounty of beautiful velvet*

@ Erz: The joy of macro photography = bringing those tiny shoots into focus! Of course all my neighbors see is me kneeling on the ground, pointing my camera at the dirt :~/
