  2. Beautiful images. And lovely sentiment. My Dad is my soul friend as well, I spent last night and today with him... a gift to be able to spend time together.

  3. The second photo somehow makes lightness out of stone. Nicely done.

  5. Beautiful images - a wonderful memorial. Making "lightness out of stone" as Aria said. Love that for so many reasons.

  6. Roisin ~ Thank you! I did start a Flickr account at one point, but there's really not much on there. *puts looking into that on the to-do list*

Valerianna ~ Having a father who is also a soul friend is a gift greater than words can ever express. We've been blessed!

Annieoatcake ~ Thank YOU for leaving such lovely comments. They're truly appreciated.

Aria and Lynn ~ "lightness out of stone" ... until Aria put that into words, I couldn't figure out what exactly made that photo work. It does make for an interesting dichotomy, doesn't it?

  9. Eimear ~ I think there's something particularly fascinating in the way carved stone can convey emotion! As for the dedication ~ my Dad was so very awesome, generous and full of gentle wisdom and ready smiles. He always believed in me, no matter what I did ~ a prescious gift indeed!

Tammie Lee ~ thank you! It is fun to play with layering :~)
