Fairy Godmother Thistle
Commonly found along the edge of a snow-filled field, usually (but not always) within proximity of a glade of oak trees. This particular plant tends to be overlooked, despite its magical properties. When clipped at its base with silver shears during the full wolf moon and placed in a cylindrical vessel along with one drop of blood and a tear from each eye, it has the power to grant three wishes. Upon immersion, the foliage beneath the bud always writhes a warning, "Do not end up using your third wish to undo the foolishness of the first two. Please wish with care!" All too often, this advise goes unheeded.

  1. I did not know this about the thistle! No wonder those resourceful Scots adopted it as their national symbol:)

  2. Looks like I'm on the hunt now for a snow covered field. That part should be a cinch.
